Cases that need manual review
When a verification is escalated to a person and how to decide it.
Some verifications end in the Review status instead of verified or failed. This happens when a check is not conclusive on its own: a face match close to the pass mark, a sanctions list match, the same face seen earlier under another name, the document's check digits failing, an estimated age that does not fit the date of birth, or a capture made through the Tor network.
Open Review queue in your dashboard, look at the captured images and the reasons, then approve or reject with a note. Your webhook receives verification.review_required when the case is escalated and verification.completed with the final status once someone decides.
