Sanctions screening

Which lists are checked and what a match means.

The name read from the document is screened against the US Treasury OFAC SDN list and the UN Security Council consolidated list, refreshed daily. Matching is fuzzy and cross-checks the date of birth.

A match never rejects anyone automatically: it sends the verification to manual review so a person can compare the details. Politically exposed person lists are not included. You can also screen a name directly with POST /api/v1/screen.
